Sandra Marcelin
I hung out with our great friend Sandra Marcelin the other day to shoot a session of her niece Jenny. Sandra just got her Canon 5D Mark II and I wanted to take the opportunity to help guide her with a couple of changes from the old 5D. So, here's one of the images from that day of Sandra shooting her niece.

Romy & Ryan's Engagement Session totally rocked, seriously. I mean, come on, when you add a great couple + amazing lighting + a beautiful environment you get great images!! There are so many stunning photographs from their session it will be really hard to pick the ones for the blog. So, hopefully I will get them up soon cause they're beautiful. So in the meantime let me show you the last shot of the night. I've actually never attempted this shot before and was really happy with the result. I think light is such an amazing tool and when used creatively you can achieve just about anything in photography. By the way if you're wondering, no I didn't use photoshop to create the lighting effect, it was actually shot this way with the camera and created using an extra light. So here ya go...

I wanted to post a picture from our trip to the Dade County Youth Fair just over a month ago. We had a great time watching our kids enjoy themselves on all the rides and eating the fair food. And of course, I couldn't resist taking this picture after seeing how strong the sun was that day and all of the great shadows it was casting. So here you go, our kids and their friends in action...

If I find some spare time (the phrase "needle in a haystack" comes to mind for some reason) I will post a few more from our trip to the fair that day.

We had such a great time at Leslie and Carlos' wedding recently that I just couldn't wait to post their wedding pictures on the blog. These two have such awesome chemistry that it made it so easy to capture their wedding day. Another factor that gave us the opportunity to capture their day skillfully was the lighting! Carlos purposely chose the perfect time of day to get married so the photographers (us!) could capture his wedding without lack of lighting. Carlos is in film school so he knows his lighting (major plus for us!). So without further delay here are some of my favs from their wedding day....
