Website, Blog and current events...

As most of you know we have always kept our blog pretty updated with current events, weddings and sessions, but not our website. We've pretty much left the same images on our website for over a year now and this was mostly due to lack of time, or shall I say not making the time. Well, I still really don't have the time to do it but I squeezed in a couple of hours today to add a bunch of pictures to the opening slideshow of the "WEDDINGS "section. However, I still haven't updated the images in "Portfolio", but I will soon. Then I'm going to keep updating images in the Engagement session for the next week or so, a little at a time....I hope!

A LITTLE ON BLOGGING:
As much as I love blogging, it has to come second to the needs our clients have.

Eileen and Danny's E-Session...

I had a great time capturing Eileen and Danny's E-Session a little over a week ago and I'm getting ready for their wedding this coming weekend! Yep, to close for comfort! But that's ok, we made it happen and here are the images to prove it!!! These two are great together and made it really easy for me and my assistant/second shooter Sandy Marcelin. Ok, ok, enough talk here are the pics...enjoy!! Btw, Eileen and Danny I can't wait for this weekend! It's gonna be AWESOME!!!!

Got fonts?

Do you like fonts as much as I do? If you do, you have to go to this site for a nice selection of free fonts: www.dafont.com.
Now, I warn you, once you go to the site you may be there a while looking through all the fonts, so make sure you have time to spare! By the way, there are many other font sites that you can go to to find great fonts, just google "fonts" or "free fonts" and tada! Fonts galore!

Oh, yeah, one more thing, you will need a little working knowledge to download these into your computer to be able to use in programs like Word, Photoshop and Excel.

Best friends...

Today our best friends Carlos and Lynda came by for about a half hour cause Lynda has decided to get serious about photography and wanted some help ordering her camera and accessories. She actually called us up a few months ago and asked what camera she should buy? Rather than tell her the obvious choice, ehem Canon, I gave her some homework so she could make the final decision. So after a good amount of research she actually decided on the Nikon D90. The D90 is a great camera and is priced reasonably. A great place to buy it is at B&H Photo in New York or locally in Miami at Pitman Photo Supply. Now, as far as the lens I told her she couldn't be without the Nikon 50mm 1.4. This lens is a must if you own a Nikon camera. Don't settle for any other brand either, you gotta get this lens no matter what kind of photography you're interested in. They bought the 50mm at Pitman today and ordered the camera from B&H. We'll be taking her under our wing for the next several months and helping her with her new gear.

I couldn't resist taking a shot with their new 50mm. So, I grabbed my Nikon D200 (which I haven't used ever since I got my Canon gear) and slapped on their 50mm and here's what I got:

Eileen and Danny - E-Session Preview

Engagement sessions (E-sessions) are great because they give us an opportunity to connect with the bride and groom in preparation for the wedding. So with that said I can't wait to show you the awesome pics we captured today from Eileen and Danny's E-Session. Eileen and Danny you guys were awesome and your best friend Ingrid was a huge help so please thank her for me! Sandra Marcelin you also rocked big time, thanks for being such a great help too! You'll have to wait a bit for me to edit them, but in the meantime here's the last shot of the session that we literally took at 8pm with nearly ZERO light (thank you Canon 5D Mark II for the help!).

New Toy!

We just got our brand-spanking, just announced, state of the art, revolutionary TTL Pocket Wizards!! We'll be experimenting with them soon, let's see what they can do! Can't wait!
